Bird is a composite model glider focused mainly for slope flying. F3F pilots took part in the development and realization of the Bird model. Their rich experiences appear in excellent flying features of this model. The proof of quality is the speed 186 mph reached during D.S. flying. The wing is made by classical technology with laminating into a negative mould. For reaching a hairline accuracy of profile shape and whole surface are all the moulds designed with the use of computer programs CAD/CAM. This moulds are final made by CNC metal-working machines. The wing has a sandwich, two-brackets constructions. Herex is used as a sandwich and belts of the main bracket are made from carbon fibres. This is the reason why the model could fly also in a very penetrative conditions of acrobatic turns . The fuselage is designed so that it is not necessary to use micro-RC equipment for the control of the model. The fuselage is sufficiently solid and strong. It will survive hard landings which are enough when you do slope flying. RC-equipment is found in the front fuselage, in front of the wing and under the take off canopy. All the parts of the cockpit equipment are easily and comfortably accessible. The tube for using ballast is situated in the middle fuselage, under the wing. The rope passages ways for the V-tail control are stuck on the fuselages walls. V-tail has the same construction as the wing and it is made with the same technology. The mould is compiled by CNC metal-working machines. Colours, various versions The Bird model is produced in various versions and color combinations according to the customer wishes. We usually use 4 basic colors and their combinations. It means red, blue, yellow and white. The glass version is focused for common flying. Exacting pilots will be satisfied with the carbon wing and reinforced fuselage. Both versions are equipped with ailerons or we could add also flaps. |
